This new sensor technology can produce sensors whose selectivity can be precisely tuned to any small set of chemicals through the design of the nanocluster, something currently not possible with any other technology. May 21, 2016: Dr. Ting has been graduated with PhD in Electrical Engineering from University of Maryland (UMD), College Park. Dr. Ting was supported by N5 through Maryland Industrial Partnerships (MIPS) Program that connects the resources of the Maryland public universities to businesses from all parts of Maryland. He will join as a postdoctoral scholar in Laboratory for Physical Sciences at UMD soon. Congratulations Ting!
December 5, 2015: Welcome to our new member Mr. Brian Thomson. Brian has extensive experience in thin film technology, surface science, computational science and instrumentation in semiconductor devices and technology which will enhance N5’s commercialization efforts of chemical and gas sensor technology.
July, 2016: N5 is presenting at IMCS 2016 in Korea, an International Meeting on Chemical Sensors. The meeting is an interdisciplinary forum on all aspects of chemical sensors encompassing physics, chemistry, bio-science, electronics and materials science with engineering disciplines and devoted to the development and applications of chemical, bio-sensors and related technologies such as gas, humidity, liquid, ion, electronic nose, etc. Dr. Motayed will be presenting “Chip-scale Microsensors for Toxic and Fire Gas Detection” developed by N5.
